MPLI: 1rrad takes charge as RSG PH sweeps Omega

RSG PH booted out Omega Esports, 2-0, in the first round of the ONE Esports MPL Invitationals, Wednesday.

Rookie jungler John “1rrad” Tuazon took charge in the series, flaunting his Martis pick which finished with a 2-1-9 KDA line in Game One before capping off the series with seven kills and seven assists without a death in Game Two.

Also stepping up in the wire-to-wire Game Two win was Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo (Paquito). He delivered seven kills and three assists to help the MPL Philippines Season Nine champs advance to the second round of the Team Haq bracket where they will face Indonesian squad Alter Ego.

Meanwhile, Pinoy imports Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and Mark “JanaaQT” Lazaro of Geek Fam and John “Zico” Dizon of Burn X Flash yielded different results earlier in the day.

Baloyskie (Mathilda) and JanaaQT (Karina) showed great control of the opposing side’s jungle early in Game One before the latter finally secured the game-ending Lord that sealed their 1-0 advantage.

RRQ Sena tied the series after a bounce back win in Game Two but JanaaQT made sure to keep his team alive as he put up a perfect 5-0-5 line on Gusion to lift his side to the second round of the Blacklist International bracket.

Baloyskie and Hadess will take on Orange Esports — the team that eliminated Zico’s Burn X Flash earlier in the day — in the following round.
