MPL PH: TNC denies Blacklist an upper bracket berth with an upset win

TNC Pro Team played the spoilers as they took down Blacklist International, 2-1, in the final week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios, Makati City on Saturday.

The Phoenix Army played their hearts out against the three-time MPL PH champions to snap a 10-game losing skid and improve to 2-11 with eight points.

In Game 1, John Vincent “Innocent” Banal (Bruno) delivered arguably his best performance this season as he went on a rampage to lead TNC to a convincing victory over Blacklist in less than 13 minutes.

He finished with a spotless 5-0-4 KDA.

It looked like Blacklist was on the way to an equalizer after commanding control of the map late in Game 2 and taking down all enemy inhibitor turrets while keeping theirs intact.

But King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez (Fanny) snatched away the evolved lord in the 27th minute to bring everything back to square one.

He once again clutched the 31st-minute lord that enabled TNC to force a 5-0 wipeout during the 33rd-minute base turret siege on Innocent’s (Beatrix) double kill.
