MPL PH: RSG barges into top four with sweep of TNC

RSG Philippines secured their fourth win by dismantling TNC Pro Team 2-0 in Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Sunday.

RSG (4-3) concluded the first half of the season with 11 points, tying with AP, Bren Esports (3-3), and Onic Philippines (3-3) for the second spot.

Head coach Brian “Panda” Lim praised his players, who executed cleanly against TNC after inconsistent performances in the first two weeks of action.

“For the first time, I feel like they’re very relaxed. That’s what I really want. I want them to have relaxed communication, just like in scrims,” he said.

Today, not just because we won, but maybe around 70% of what we practiced in scrims translated to the tournament, so I’m satisfied with their performance.”

In Game 1, RSG took control when John “Irrad” Abarquez (Lancelot) secured the lord, and Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo’s (Terizla) three-man Penalty Zone set the stage for Eman “EMANN” Sangco’s double kill.

RSG then used a clever diversionary tactic in the 11th minute, sacrificing three heroes to provide Irrad with the space needed for a successful base turret siege on the opposite lane, securing the opener 1-0.

The Raiders continued to dominate TNC in Game 2, forcing a game-clinching 5-0 wipeout in the late 11th minute to complete the sweep. RSG secured eight kills while allowing only one death in the closing game.

TNC remains at the bottom of the standings with a meager 1-6 record and only four points to their name.
