MPL PH: NXP Evos continues to roll, takes down ECHO for third straight win

Red-hot Nexplay EVOS picked up its third-straight win, taking down the skidding ECHO Philippines via a 2-0 sweep to move up to the second spot of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Saturday night.

Nexplay EVOS (3-3) forged a tie with defending champion Blacklist International (4-0), who will take on Bren Esports in the nightcap, at the second spot with nine points each.

Gunning for the Luminous Lord entering the 16-minute mark of Game Two, Nexplay EVOS turned its focus to the contesting ECHO squad – resulting in a five-man wipe and seconds after, the victory.

John Paul “H2wo” Salonga (Ling) shone the brightest in the win, finishing with six kills and six assists against just one death in the match which lasted for 16 minutes and eight seconds.MPL-PH-8-NXPE-def-ECHO-Game-2 MPL PH: NXP Evos continues to roll, takes down ECHO for third straight win ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

“Nung mga sakripisyo po namin sa mga practice at mga scrim po,” said Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera after the win. “Sobrang focused po talaga kami kahit natatalo pero may natututunan po kami tapos tiwala po talaga kami sa isa’t isa saka disiplina talaga.”

Nexplay EVOS showed great discipline in the opener, outlasting the Aldous-centered composition of ECHO in Game One for the 1-0 advantage.

ECHO initiated a clash inside their top jungle which backfired on their part as Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse (Kaja) managed to take down Mark “Hadess” Lazaro’s Aldous to cap the three-man wipe en route to the win.

RENEJAY took the SMART 5G MVP with eight kills and five assists against three deaths in the 21-14 Game One win which lasted for just 15 minutes and 39 seconds.MPL-PH-8-NXPE-def-ECHO-Game-1 MPL PH: NXP Evos continues to roll, takes down ECHO for third straight win ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news
