MPL PH: Nomed-led TNC snaps skid with reverse sweep of Blacklist

TNC Pro Team finally secured a breakthrough win by pulling off a 2-1 reverse sweep against Blacklist International in Week 2 of the MPL Philippines Season 13 at the Shooting Gallery Studios on Saturday.

TNC improved to three points, just a point behind fourth-running Blacklist, RSG Philippines, and MINANA Evos.

In Game 1, TNC was in control of the match from the start until Edward “Edward” Dapadap’s (Cici) backline attack during the 18th minute translated into a double kill that sparked a game-winning 5-0 wipeout, making the score 1-0.

Head coach Ben “Benthings” Maglaque admitted that he was very disappointed with the Game 1 result after they conceded the lead and lost, leading to a lengthy tongue-lashing in the dugout.

“Sinigawan ko sila eh. Supot ba kayo? Lamang tayo, ba’t ayaw natin makipag-contest sa side. 5v5 lamang tayo, sino mananalo? Tayo!” he shared.

His words proved effective as the TNC boys made a massive turnaround.

TNC responded tremendously, not allowing any openings for a comeback as Cesar “Nomed” Sugarno finished with a flawless 4-0-5 KDA in the win, forcing a decider.

The Phoenix Army continued to play with momentum and completely dominated the three-time MPL PH champions in Game 3 to seal the victory.

TNC will look to make a winning run going as they face off with ECHO on Sunday, March 24th.
