MPL PH: KarlTzy leads way as ECHO completes sweep of RSG, takes solo third

ECHO bolstered their upper bracket aspirations after sweeping RSG Philippines 2-0 in Week 5 of the MPL Philippines Season 13 on Sunday at the Shooting Gallery Studios.

The MPL PH Season 11 champions improved to 7-3 and secured solo third place with 22 points, while RSG (6-4) settled for fourth with 19 points.

For Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, he believes this is one of the team’s best performances this season.

“Pag ganun po siguro yung nilalaro namin, wala na siguro need iimprove. Siguro, disiplina na lang ang kailangan namin tapos consistency lang po,” he said.

In Game 1, KarlTzy (Fredrinn) showcased superb lord dance capability late in the 13th minute as he secured the lord objective, sparking a 3-1 exchange and erasing a 2.4k deficit.

ECHO didn’t look back from there, with KarlTzy leading the way to an 18-minute victory. The ‘young GOAT’ earned the game MVP award with a near-perfect 3-1-10 KDA.

Once again, it was KarlTzy’s show in Game 2 as his stellar play on the Guinevere pick led to a one-sided victory. He finished with a 4-1-7 KDA, securing the game MVP once again.

ECHO aims to make it three-straight wins as they face the cellar-dwelling TNC Pro Team on Friday, April 26.
