MPL PH: Escalera shines as TNC sweeps Bren, knots Echo for pole

Jomarie “Escalera” Delos Santos starred in TNC’s 2-0 sweep of Bren Esports to force a tie at the top spot in MPL Philippines Season Nine, Sunday evening.

Improving its slate to 4-3, TNC forced a tie with ECHO (5-1) at the top of the standings with 15 points each.

With Game One closest as ever, Jomari “Jowm” Pingol (Brody) picked off Jomarie “Escalera” Delos Santos’ Kagura to give Bren Esports a huge advantage in the Luminous Lord dance.

Eventually, Bren Esports took out Daniel “SDzyz” Chu’s Lancelot and Mark “Kramm” Rusiana’s Esmeralda before Muj “LORD MALIKK” Malik’s Aulus secured the Luminous Lord at the 20:26-mark.

A kill on LORD MALIKK, however, prevented a major siege from Bren Esports which stalled the game once more.

In the final play, Bren Esports took advantage of SDzyz’s absence in the Lord fight, but Escalera, after a mishap minutes before, was able to redeem himself by stealing the Luminous Lord.

Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille’s Kimmy then killed both LORD MALIKK and Jowm after the Lord steal to punctuate the win. He finished with a game-high seven kills and five assists against one death in the 16-10 Game One win in 25 minutes and 24 seconds.MPL-PH-9-TNC-def-Bren-Game-One MPL PH: Escalera shines as TNC sweeps Bren, knots Echo for pole ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Escalera once again made his presence felt in Game Two, hounding LORD MALIKK’s Ling all throughout the contest as Natalia.

With Bren Esports’ jungler clamped, TNC ran away with a 16-7 Game Two stomp in just 17 minutes and 37 seconds.MPL-PH-9-TNC-def-Bren-Game-Two MPL PH: Escalera shines as TNC sweeps Bren, knots Echo for pole ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news
