MPL PH: Echo sustains immaculate form with sweep of TNC

Echo picked up from where they left off, scoring their fourth straight victory courtesy of a 2-0 sweep of TNC Pro Team in Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 11 on Friday.

They improved to 4-0 to remain on top of the standings with 11pts.

While Echo head coach Archie “Tictac” Reyes acknowledges the improvement on TNC’s side, he was quick to cite the team’s flaws during the close Game 1 encounter.

“Yung TNC unti-unting lumalakas…Nag-iimprove,” he said. “Nagkulang lang din kami ng discipline nung Game 1 eh kaya nakadikit din sila.”

In Game 1, Echo unveiled an interesting Gloo pick in the midlane that translated to a quick 3-0 lead on the kill tally by the 2nd minute but TNC bucked their early game struggle and kept the game close.

The reigning world champions had to rely on Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s mechanical brilliance with the Hayabusa pick as he nabbed two kills during a 5-2 wipeout in the 21st minute to take the opener, 1-0.

Echo continued with their aggressiveness in Game 2 leading to a quick victory by the 13th minute.

KarlTzy once again delivered an impressive performance, finishing with a 2-0-7 KDA.
