MPL PH: AP.Bren sends Minana crashing with dominant sweep

AP.Bren Esports continued their winning streak with a resounding 2-0 victory over Minana Evos in Week 2 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Sunday.

All of their wins thus far have been clean sweeps, with the only hiccup in their record being a close 2-1 loss to RSG Philippines. AP.Bren currently holds the second spot with 10 points, just one point behind the league-leading Echo.

In Game 1, after initially maintaining a slim lead, AP.Bren shifted into high gear when Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo (Minotaur) executed a well-timed Minoan Fury during the 9th-minute Lord fight, resulting in a 2-0 pickoff and securing the Lord objective. Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Beatrix) then achieved a Maniac late in the 14th minute, concluding a 5-3 wipeout and putting AP.Bren ahead 1-0.

Game 2 followed a similar pattern, with the reigning IESF world champions securing all turtle buffs and Lord objectives in an 18-minute victory. Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel (Valentina) led AP.Bren’s dominant 13-3 performance in the kill tally, finishing with a 2-1-11 KDA.

Minana, coming off a debut win this season with a sweep of RSG Philippines the day before, has now suffered its fourth loss in five games, settling for the 6th spot in the standings.
