MPL PH: AP.Bren delivers rousing debut in sweep of TNC

AP Bren Esports continued their rampage with a dominant 2-0 sweep of TNC in their opening match in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

It was a superb performance for the former M1 World Champions. According to team captain Angelo Kyle “Phew” Arcangel, they had arrived back in the country at around 1 am earlier that day after their championship conquest at the IESF World Esports Championship in Romania last week.

“Wala kaming preparation for this match,” revealed head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro.

“Kanina, sinabihan ko na lang din sila na I’m not going to pressure you to win this game, but I’m going to pressure you to just give it your best shot kung kaya pa ba nating mailabas kung ano man ang pinakita natin sa IESF,” added the Sibol head coach.

In the opening game, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo (Franco) set the tone for a lopsided affair with pinpoint Iron Hooks, leading to a match MVP honor courtesy of a 0-1-9 KDA.

AP.Bren took the opener in just 13 minutes with an overwhelming 11-2 kill score.

It was a similar story in Game 2 as the reigning IESF world champions pounced on the hapless TNC squad with superior macro and micro-mechanical plays, resulting in a 15-minute win, backed by an 8-2 kill score.

They were led by Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano, who went spotless with a 5-0-1 KDA on Brody.

AP Bren concluded Season 11 on top of the regular season standings but fell to 4th place in the playoffs after losing to Blacklist International and Echo.
