AP.Bren became the first team to secure an upper bracket berth after dominating ONIC Philippines, 2-0, in the final week of MPL Philippines Season 13 on Saturday at the Shooting Gallery Studios.
The defending champions scored their 10th win to improve to 32 points, ensuring at least a second-place finish heading into the playoffs.
ONIC opened the series with an interesting Ling pick for the jungler role, but AP.Bren came prepared as they easily handled the draft led by Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo (Mathilda).
The 23-year-old roamer finished with a 2-1-6 KDA to earn the MVP nod in the opener.
It was a similar story in Game 2 as AP.Bren overwhelmed ONIC with a dominant 12-0 shutout on the kill score.
