MPL PH: 1rrad shines as RSG dominates TNC to end losing streak

RSG Philippines bounced back from consecutive losses with a commanding 2-0 sweep of TNC Pro Team in Week 2 of MPL Philippines Season 14 on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

RSG improved to a 1-2 record, climbing to solo fifth place while handing TNC their fourth straight loss.

After opening the season with a reverse sweep loss to Team Liquid PH, RSG focused on improving their chemistry and communication heading into their match against TNC.

“After we lost sa Week 1, marami kaming usapan between us. The number one thing was sa heroes. Number two was sa communication. Kaya buong week, plus si Nibor playing instead of Nathhz, all we just focused on is team chemistry and communication. And then more tapang lang,” explained head coach Brian “Panda” Lim on their approach for Week 2.

“Sa totoo lang, last week we couldn’t play yung totoong laro namin because parang hindi sila confident sa heroes plus sa hero composition. Pero today I felt like it was easy to execute din. So all we just focused on is confidence through scrims.”

John “1rrad” Tuazon (Hayabusa) spearheaded RSG’s surge in Game 1, where his triple kill helped the Raiders gain a decisive net worth advantage and secure the Lord in the 11th minute.

1rrad continued his rampage, achieving an 8-1-6 KDA to earn the Game 1 MVP and secure the opening victory.

1rrad once again displayed mechanical brilliance in Game 2 with his iconic Lancelot pick, finishing with a 5-1-2 KDA during the 13th-minute victory.

RSG will next face the powerhouse Falcons AP.Bren on Friday, August 30.
