MPL: OhMyV33nus steers Blacklist to skid-snapping win over TNC

Blacklist International broke its two-game losing streak after a 2-0 sweep over TNC in the MPL Philippines Season 10, Saturday at the ICITE Auditorium.

With the win, the Tier One-backed squad tied RSG PH and ECHO at the third spot with identical 4-2 records.

“Siguro yung after nung third week na puro talo, syempre tiningnan namin kung saan kami nagkamali, saan kami nagkulang. Sa mga talo na yun, ang dami naming natutunan. Hindi naman nangangahulugan na natalo kami nang maaga, dire-diretso na yun,” said Blacklist International head coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza.

“Ang daming teams na dumaan sa mga tuloy tuloy na talo and then eventually nakarating pa rin sa finals. Sa amin, masyado pang maaga para ma-down na kami kaya tinake namin yun as lesson learned,” he added.

Entering the 13th minute of Game One, Blacklist International was able to take down Mark “Kramm” Rusiana (Uranus) to kick off a bloodbath that saw them take down three more TNC heroes.

Ben “Benthings” Maglaque (Barats) tried to delay Blacklist International’s final push but failed.

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Balmond) led the way with three kills, a death, and six assists while Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna (Diggie) supplied a game-high 12 assists laced with three deaths in the 13-8 Game One win in 13 minutes and 22 seconds.

In Game Two, TNC tried to go for the split push while Blacklist International was securing the Lord entering the 14th minute. Edward “Edward” Dapadap (Paquito), though, managed to defend the base after Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille (Beatrix) took down their top inhibitor turret.

The then M3 World Champions finished the game with a siege in the middle lane.

Kiel “OHEB” Soriano (Wanwan) posted four kills and five assists without a death in the 13-6 Game One victory while OhMyV33NUS had a game-high nine assists to go along with a kill.

TNC, after finally getting its first win yesterday against ONIC PH, dropped to 1-6 in the standings.

Blacklist International will go up against RSG PH on Sunday at 8:00 PM while TNC looks to bounce back against Nexplay EVOS next Saturday at 6:00 PM.
