MPL: KarlTzy brings out Lancelot in G3, completes ECHO comeback vs ONIC

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s Lancelot debut in Game Three powered ECHO to a 2-1 reverse sweep of ONIC PH, 2-1, in the second round of the MPL Philippines Season 10, Sunday at the ICITE Auditorium.

This is ONIC PH’s third consecutive loss.

The 1-2 punch of Frince “SUPER FRINCE” Ramirez (Mathilda) and Ralph “Rapidoot” Adrales (Chou) outplayed ECHO’s uber-aggressive lineup composed of Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (Natalia), Alston “Sanji” Pabico (Selena), and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera (Grock) in Game One by partnering up with their cores and preventing the ECHO trio from engaging.

Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales (Beatrix) was the lone bright spot for ECHO but his exploits were not enough to prevent ONIC PH from snowballing into victory in the opener.

SUPER FRINCE scored three kills and nine assists against one death while Rapidoot had three kills and six assists against one death in the 13-7 Game One win which lasted for 18 minutes.

ECHO switched tactics in Game Two and gave KarlTzy the Ling which proved to have paid dividends as they silenced ONIC PH’s midlane duo of Rapidoot (Mathilda) and SUPER FRINCE (Yve) after their stellar outing in the opener.

A late initiation coming from Sanji’s Faramis bagged the game for ECHO.

KarlTzy went perfect with three kills and four assists without a death while Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya added four kills and two assists against a death in the 10-4 Game Two victory.

The M2 World Championship MVP then topped it off with a classic Lancelot performance in Game Three to help his side secure the reversal.
