Juan Gomez de Liano’s next journey will take him to Korea.
The 6-foot guard has signed with Seoul SK for the 2023-24 Korean Basketball League season.
“I’m extremely happy, bro, to be part of such an amazing organization – a well-known and highly respected team in Asia,” said Gomez de Liano as he signed a three-year deal with SK with the third year being a player option.
This will be the 23-year-old University of the Philippine product’s third overseas stint.
“It was an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up. I’m all about personal growth, and joining this team aligns perfectly with my ambitions as a basketball player,” he expressed.
Back in the 2021-22 season, Gomez de Liano was in Japan, playing for B2 team Earthfriends Tokyo Z.
His stint there only lasted for 17 games.
Gomez de Liano regained his confidence with Marinerong Pilipino in the 2022 PBA D-League season, winning MVP honors in the tournament.
This led to the young guard heading to Lithuania, signing with BC Wolves.
Now, he joins a Knights team that is coming off a finals appearance.
SK Knights are also qualified for the 2023-24 EASL season.
