Raymond Almazan suffered an injury just six minutes into Game Three of Meralco’s 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals battle versus Barangay Ginebra Sunday at SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The 6-foot-8 forward hurt his left knee after landing on Gin Kings guard LA Tenorio as he went up for a shot. He struggled to get back on his feet and had to be helped out by his teammates.
Almazan was then brought to the locker room and was checked by league physician Wendell Lozano. The extent of the six-year pro’s injury has yet to be determined as of this posting.
It is still unknown also if the athletic big man from Orion, Bataan will check back into the game later in the night.
The Letran product is averaging 17.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in the series that is currently tied at 1-1.
