MDL PH: Echo nabs 7th straight win

Echo Proud continued with their winning ways, registering a seven-win streak after surviving a tight close-out game against TNC Neo, 2-0 in Week 5 of the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) Philippines Season 1 on Tuesday.

After a dominant opening game where they only allowed TNC to register 1 kill, Echo figured in a close Game 2 that lasted for 31 minutes highlighted by beautiful conceal play by the Orcas late in the 30th-minute lord dance resulting in a 3-0 pickoff to complete the sweep.

Goldlaner Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar once again delivered insane marksmanship to take the MVP honors in the close-out match courtesy of a 13-2-8 KDA.

Echo (8-2) continued to lead Group B with 24pts.

Smart Omega Neos joined the playoffs after punching their ticket by way of a 2-1 victory over Bren Euphoria Esports.

Christian “West” Mangabay (Beatrix) finished with a perfect 2-0-4 KDA to lead Omega’s pinpoint objective of taking in the rubber match.

They remain a distant second in Group B with 19pts courtesy of a 7-3 win-loss card.

Nexplay Evos Tiger Cubs also managed to secure their third straight win after surviving a 2-1 thriller over Blacklist Academy for their fifth season win.

The Tiger Cubs inched closer to the last playoff spot with 12pts while Blacklist (5-4) was limited to 16pts to remain third in Group A.

Meanwhile, Ralph “Dudut” Adrales spearheaded Onic Arsenal’s initiations en route to a clutch 2-1 over RSG Ignite.

Dudut’s masterful performance with the Khufra in the opener earned him a match MVP citation that set the tone for the three-game series.
