Chandler McDaniel once again stole the spotlight, powering Stallion Laguna to a resounding 13-0 demolition of the Bank of Guam Strykers in the preliminary round of the 2025–26 AFC Women’s Champions League on Thursday at the Thuwunna Stadium in Myanmar.
McDaniel, a former Philippine national team standout who competed in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, was simply unstoppable.
She struck in the 18th, 26th, 37th, 47th, 56th, and 64th minutes to spearhead a statement win for coach Ernie Nierras’ squad.
Joining her in the scoring spree were Rhea Arcenal Chan and Malia Cerdon, who also bagged braces.
Chan showed composure with close-range finishes in the 35th and 52nd minutes. Meanwhile, Cerdon piled on the misery for the Strykers with goals in the 44th and 57th minutes.
The floodgates opened early when Mia Bookhard struck just two minutes into the match, setting the tone for Stallion’s relentless attack.
Later on, Jenna Joan Laguana Merrill (70’) and Charisa Lemoran (89’) capped off the rout to seal Stallion’s historic victory.
With the result, Stallion leapfrogged Myanmar’s I.S.P.E. to the top of Group A with six points and a +18 goal difference.
I.S.P.E. also holds six points but trails slightly with a +17 GD after their 8-0 win over Khovd Western.
The group’s fate now rests on a decisive clash between Stallion and I.S.P.E. this Sunday at 5:30 PM (Manila time), with the winner securing an outright berth to the next round.
