Mars Alba, Jolina Dela Cruz, Jov Fernandez opt to join F2

F2 Logistics is not to be left behind.

Moments after Chery Tiggo made a huge splash over the weekend, the Cargo Movers closed it out by unveiling three new recruits.

As expected, La Salle’s Jolina Dela Cruz and Mars Alba will join their ‘ates’ in F2 Logistics.

In a surprise though, Jovelyn Fernandez will no longer play out her final three years at Far Eastern University to join Dela Cruz and Alba.

Alba and Dela Cruz, batchmates in La Salle, were seen as ‘package deals’ to those who tried to court them.

The duo led La Salle to the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball championship with Alba taking the Best Setter plum while Dela Cruz was the Best Outside Spiker.

Alba, a 5-foot-6 playmaker, ranked second in setting with 4.48 excellent sets per period and first in service with 0.50 per frame.

Meanwhile, Dela Cruz placed eighth in spiking, third in service, seventh in blocking, fifth in reception, and 11th in digging.

The two Lady Spikers will join fellow La Salle alumni Abigail Maraño, Ara Galang, Dawn Macandili, Kim Fajardo, Majoy Baron, Cha Cruz, CJ Woo, and Kianna Dy in F2.UAAP-85-WVB-FEU-vs.-ADU-Jov-Fernandez-1566 Mars Alba, Jolina Dela Cruz, Jov Fernandez opt to join F2 News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

In the same season, Fernandez blossomed under the tutelage of head coach Tina Salak and emerged as one of FEU’s top gunners. She powered the Lady Tamaraws’ impressive leap from last place in the previous season to fifth place this year while taking the Best Opposite Spiker tiara.

The pride of Rosales, Pangasinan averaged 12 points per game in what ended up as her final year with the Lady Tamaraws.
