Marianne Sotomil to get start as Estrañero to miss UP-UST clash

A baptism of fire for the rookie.

The University of the Philippines Lady Maroons will be without graduating setter Ayel Estrañero when they take on the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses.

UP head coach Godfrey Okumu confirmed that Estrañero experienced food poisoning Saturday evening and is still under observation.

In her stead, rookie Marianne Sotomil will get the start.

Sotomil is an 18-year-old spiker and is a product of Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

The Lady Maroons are looking to go to 3-0.
