Marck Espejo shows no rust but Bani Jamra falls to Al Ahli

Marck Espejo impressed in his Isa Bin Rashid Volleyball League debut.

However, his team Bani Jamra fell to Al Ahli in four sets, 13-25, 25-20, 24-26, 18-25, Monday (Philippine time) at the league’s namesake volleyball hall.

The Filipino import provided instant impact for his club in the second set with nine markers to tie the match at one set apiece.

Espejo uncorked 19 points built on 18 attacks and a block in just three sets of work in his debut as he was not fielded in the first salvo.

After the game, Espejo took to Twitter his gratitude and appreciation for all the Filipino fans who passionately waited for the game at 12:30AM (Philippine time).

And with his first game in the bag, Espejo vowed to come back stronger in their next game.

“Maraming salamat sa puyat at suporta. Bawi next game!” wrote “The Phenom” in his Twitter account.
