After a banner year with Criss Cross and Alas Pilipinas Men, Marck Espejo is set for another overseas stint, signing with the TSG Skyhawks of the Taiwan Professional Volleyball League, the team announced Wednesday.
Espejo, 28, will now join his seventh foreign club after previous stints in Japan, Bahrain, and Korea over the past several years.
The former Spikers’ Turf MVP comes off a standout year with the national team.
His two-way game helped propel Alas Pilipinas to a historic run in the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship, where they upset African powerhouse Egypt and came agonizingly close to reaching the Round of 16.
He also played a pivotal role in the Nationals’ bronze medal finish, dropping 30 points in a massive comeback against Vietnam.
The five-time UAAP MVP capped the year by winning his first championship with the King Crunchers in the 2025 Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference, appearing in the early stages of the tournament before stepping aside due to his national team commitments.
The Skyhawks are currently second in the four-team league with an 18-12 record.
