M4: ECHO makes quick work of Occupy Thrones, moves on cusp of upper bracket

ECHO moved on the verge of an upper bracket berth after cruising past Occupy Thrones, 1-0, in Group C of the M4 World Championship, Wednesday at the Bali United Studio in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales spearheaded the dominant 19-5 win in 11 minutes and 16 seconds, tallying eight kills and seven assists without a single death on Harith.

Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya added five kills and six assists on Yu Zhong while Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno had four kills, a death, and six assists on Ling for ECHO.

ECHO stepped on the gas pedal right from the get-go with Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz once again leading the team’s aggression over their Egyptian counterparts. Occupy Thrones failed to gain momentum throughout the match which ultimately led to ECHO’s quick win.

The reigning MPL PH silver medalists are now standing at 2-0 in the group stage while the Egyptian team dropped to 0-2.

ECHO looks to clinch one of the two upper bracket spots against RSG SG later at 6:00 PM.
