Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang is certainly interested in the upcoming clash between fifth-ranked contender “Mini T” Danial Williams and Jeremy “The Jaguar” Miado.
The two will meet in a strawweight MMA bout at ONE Fight Night 3 on the morning of Saturday at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
While Adiwang has already faced Miado, there’s something about Williams that interests him. In fact, Adiwang admitted to being a fan of Williams’ style. The Aussie’s turning out to be one of the most exciting fighters in the strawweight division.
“I believe he’s one of the most technical strikers in the division. His striking is so good, and I’d like to test myself against him should he win,” Adiwang said.
Adiwang also said that he wants to square off with the winner of this clash, especially since he’s targeting a 2023 return after successful ACL surgery.
If Williams wins, then Adiwang would face one of the best strikers in the weight class. On the other hand, a win for Miado means that Adiwang would get to face his old foe and finish the match his way.
Previously, he tore said ACL against Miado this past March.
“Whoever wins between the two of them, I hope to see them for my comeback fight,” Adiwang said.
“If Jeremy wins, for sure his stock will even be bigger, and it will be an even bigger fight for me if that rematch happens.”
When pushed to respond with a prediction, however, Adiwang gave an expected answer.
“I’ve faced Miado,” Adiwang continued. “I’ve tested how quick he is, how powerful he is, and I think I’m giving the edge to ‘Mini T.’”
