Dylan “Light” Catipon led Aurora to an impressive 2-0 sweep over TNC Pro Team, propelling them to the top of the standings after Week 3 of MPL Philippines Season 16 on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.
Aurora now sits atop the standings with a 4-1 record, while TNC (2-3) remains tied for fifth with Smart Omega.
The Season 14 runners-up opened the series with a surprise Franco pick that set the tone for a dominant sweep.
Kaya maganda at malinis yung laro namin.”
With the Franco surprise pick in Game 1, Aurora dominated TNC with a shutout victory in just 12 minutes, finishing the opener with a 9-0 kill score.
Light showcased near-perfect kill participation and contributed eight assists, earning him game MVP honors.
In the series-clinching Game 2, Light delivered the decisive play—a conceal maneuver that set up a two-man combo in the 16th minute, securing a flawless 3-for-0 wipe and sealing the sweep.
Aurora will aim for their fifth win against AP.Bren on Friday, September 12.
