As promised, ONE: Infinity 2 will be a mega event.
ONE Championship Chief Executive Officer Chatri Sityodtong announced on Thursday morning the three headlining bouts for the super card that is set to take place on Friday, May 29 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Serving as the main event is hometown favorite Brandon Vera (16-8) defending his Heavyweight World Championship against Canadian-Indian wrestler Arjan Bhullar (10-1).
Vera is coming off a second round TKO loss to Aung La N Sang for the Lightheavyweight World Championship back in October.
Both big men are UFC veterans.
In the co-main event, Christian Lee (13-3) stakes his ONE Lightweight World Championship against undefeated Iuri Lapicus (14-0) of Maldova.
This will be Lee’s first title defense. Lee also won the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix last October.
Finally, former UFC World Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez (30-7) looks to settle some unfinished business as he faces Saygid Arslanaliev (8-2).
The bout was supposed to take place during ONE: Century last October but Alvarez had to pull out of the bout due to injury. Arslanaliev lost to Lee in the finale.
