As expected, the ISAA Season 16 Seniors Basketball championship will be contested between defending champions La Consolacion College Manila (LCCM) and St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA).
The Blue Royals secured their spot in the final with a dominant 67-54 victory over the Treston Golden Lions, while the Pikemen cruised past the World Citi College Skyhawks, 68-60, in the Final Four on Thursday at the LCCM Gym in Manila.
LCCM and SDCA entered the playoffs with identical 8-1 records.
Notably, the Pikemen defeated the Blue Royals, 71-58, on November 9.
Game 1 of the best-of-three finals series will take place on December 11.
Eyle Cordano was instrumental in the Blue Royals’ semifinal win, scoring 18 points, including a perfect 4-of-4 performance from beyond the arc.
Christian Alonzo contributed nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while Jay Antonio and Kenneth Castillo added eight points each.
On the other hand, four Pikemen scored in double figures in their victory over the Skyhawks.
Ken Alvaran led SDCA with 16 points on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting from the field.
Chad Amante added 14 points and five rebounds, while Michael Sosing and Joseph Timtiman chipped in 13 points each.
Yvane Malay paced Treston with 10 points, while Ralph de Guzman led WCC with 14 points and six rebounds.
