Laus Playbook Esports’ Doujin was unstoppable in the season opener of The Nationals’ Tekken 7 Season 2, capping off Day One with an unbeaten slate, Saturday evening.
The Southeast Asian Games bronze medalist swept his assignments, finishing off Smart Omega’s Pica and Cignal Ultra Warriors’ NatureLover to top the player standings with six points laced with an immaculate 4-0 slate.
He tallied 12 victories and dropped only five rounds in his two best-of-three matches in Day One.
Cignal’s Vermillion placed second in the rankings with a 4-1 card — good for five points. He defeated STI EOlympians’ Rakenrol in three games, 2-3, 3-2, 3-2, and SMO bet Pica via sweep 3-2, 3-0.
Meanwhiile, SMO’s Jules, LPE’s AK, and BREN Epro’s Maru forged a three-way tie in the third spot, with the first two garnering an identical 4-2 records and the latter collecting a 3-2 card all for four points.
Jules bested both Happy Feet Emperor’s Coffee_Prinz! and Rakenrol in three games each 1-3, 3-0, 3-2, and 3-1, 2-3, 3-1, respectively. Meanwhile, AK – who won the silver medal in the recent SEA Games –staged come-from-behind wins against BREN Epro’s Mawts and Maru, 1-3, 3-1, 3-0, and 1-3, 3-0, 3-2.
SEO’s Don Argus and Naturelover both have three points in the fourth seed with 3-2 and 2-2 records, respectively.
HFE’s Hapon (2-3) and Coffee_Prinz! (2-4) together with Rakenrol (2-4) had two points each locked at the fifth spot. BRE’s Mawts (1-4) sit at solo sixth with only a point while Pica of SMO remain winless at 0-4.
