Cherry Rondina and Rica Rivera continue their suprise attack on the Beach Volleyball tournament as the Thomasian rookies outclassed the struggling Lady Eagles, 21-16, 21-11.
The crafty Tigresses played like veterans on the sandcourt, refusing to be impeded by the sand. Cherry Rondina’s high flying attacks perfectly complimented the deceptive attacking of Rica Rivera as UST would not even let the Lady Eagles taste the lead for the entire match.
Ateneo continues to struggle as Volleyball supernova, Alyssa Valdez continues to sit out games, leaving Joana Maraguinot, their reserve player, to carry the offense for the team as she is constantly being targeted by other teams. According to Valdez, she will most likely be sitting out the rest of the beach volleyball tournament.
