Carlo “Kuku” Palad and Karl “Karl” Hayme joined hands in T1’s 2-0 domination of LilGun in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division Saturday evening.
This is T1’s first victory of the tournament after losing their opener against all-Filipino squad Smart Omega Esports.
Karl — the 22-year-old midlaner popularly known as Santino — put up 12 kills and 19 assists against two deaths. Meanwhile, Kuku dished out a game-high 29 assists along with seven kills and three deaths in the series-clinching Game Two.
Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon spearheaded the offense with 13 kills and 17 assists against one death in the 41-18 victory.
The whole match lasted for 28 minutes and 33 seconds.
On the other hand, Altanginj “x123” Bilguun (Wraith King) was the lone bright spot for Lilgun with six kills, six deaths, and three assists.
Unlike in Game Two, Lilgun was able to keep in step with the South Korean squad in Game One.
X123’s Broodmother was able to farm decently to carry the game for the Mongolian squad. Still, the Juggernaut of 23savage prevailed over the match-up.
23savage’s Juggernaut ended up with 14 kills and 11 assists against two deaths in the 33-22 Game One win.
Game One lasted for 46 minutes and 49 seconds.
T1 is currently tied with OB Esports x Neon at the fourth spot. On the other hand, Lilgun suffered its third-straight defeat to open its upper division campaign.
T1 will go up against Boom Esports on April 29, while Lilgun will next face Southeast Asia powerhouse Fnatic on May 5.
