Kekedot, Aquaboy set to make Cignal Ultra debut in MPL-PH

Cignal Ultra will be bringing in some new faces for the upcoming MPL-Philippines Season Seven.

Looking to bounce back after a 5th-8th place finish in the previous season, the MPL-Philippines Season Two champion brought over ArkAngel’s Jefferson “Kekedot” Mogol and Blacklist International’s Arvie “Aquaboy” Calderon to complete their final roster.

Aqua was a casualty of the Tier One-backed squad’s roster revamp that saw them trade rising star Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol in exchange for ONIC PH’s Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario.

Meanwhile, Kekedot was picked up by Cignal right before the MPL-Philippines Season Seven Open Qualifiers.

Janus “Janus” Badando, who was signed by Cignal Ultra during the latest season of The Nationals, also made the MPL roster. The former ArkAngel Wicked Minds member will be playing the core position.

Leading the new-look Cignal Ultra squad is team captain Douglas Joseph “Deejay” Astibe.

Also retained by the squad are offlaner Jones “Rhea” De Leon and tank Benson “Bensanity” Paglinawan.

Denver “Yebmaester” Miranda, who played as sixth man in Season Six, will be coaching the squad.

MPL-Philippines Season Seven will open its curtains this March.
