KBL: Gutang outing not enough as Changwon LG gets swept by Seoul SK

Justin Gutang’s fiery outing was not enough to give second seed Changwon LG a new lease on life, bowing to Seoul SK, 84-85, in Game Three of the 2023 KBL semifinals, Tuesday at Jamsil Gymnasium.

Gutang played his best game in the series, firing 16 points on two triples while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out four assists but it all fell for naught.

Going into the game, the Knights took both games 1 (73-68) and 2 (92-91) that sent them to the verge of a return trip to the finals.

Jameel Warney and Kim Sunhyung took charge for Seoul SK, finishing with 25 and 23 points, respectively, with the former also grabbing 12 boards.

Heo Ilyoung added 14 points while Choi Seongwun chipped 13 points, combining for five of Seoul SK’s seven treys.

Lee Jaedo led the Sakers with 24 points while Jeong Heejae added 15 markers.

Dante Cunningham was limited to just nine points and three rebounds.

Seoul SK will await the winner of the Anyang-Goyang semifinals clash.
