Karltzy suffers finger injury a day before MPL PH playoffs

ECHO’s star jungler, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, suffered a finger injury one day before the MPL Philippines Season 11 playoffs.

Country manager Mitch Liwanag confirmed the news to Tiebreaker Times.

Liwanag stated that KarlTzy’s right ring finger got infected, which prompted team officials to bring him to the nearest hospital on Wednesday night.

However, the reigning MPL PH Press Corps Executive of the Year confirmed that the 18-year-old would be available for ECHO’s upper bracket match on Friday.

“Nainfect daliri ni Karl kaya dinala ko na sa ospital,” Liwanag said.

“Pero kaya naman daw maglaro, may go signal na siya nung surgeon,” she added.

The two-time world champion led ECHO to the second seed with an 11-2 standing in the MPL Philippines Season 11 regular season.

ECHO will face the winner of the RSG Slate PH-ONIC PH play-in match-up in the upper bracket semifinals tomorrow at 5:00 PM at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
