Filipino midlaner Karl “Karl” Jayme took charge in T1’s 2-0 romp of Execration to forge a tie for the third seed in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: S1-Southeast Asia Upper Division, Saturday evening.
Karl registered a game-high 13 kills to go along with 10 assists and three deaths using his signature Puck in T1’s 27-17 Game One victory over the Filipinos. He collected a total of 27,574 net worth through 676 gold per minute in the 44:37 match.
The 22-year-old Karl, once considered as the future of Philippine Dota, then stepped on the gas. He lorded over Execration in Game Two with a monster 19-6-22 kill-death-assist line playing Batrider.
T1 carry Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong provided 14 kills and 15 assists against four deaths using Troll Warlord. Meanwhile, Filipino offlaner Carlo “Kuku” Palad tallied 28 assists laced with four kills and seven deaths.
Unlike Game One, Execration had a lot of fight in them in Game Two with Yuri Dave “Yowe” Pacaña’s Weaver putting up 16 kills and 13 assists against just two deaths. Argle “Ken” Llesis, who struggled in the opener, was able to get things going with 11 kills and 13 assists laced with eight deaths.
Unfortunately for them, though, the T1 machine led by Karl and JaCkky was too much to overcome.
T1 is currently in a tie with TNC Predator in the third spot with identical 3-2 cards. On the other hand, Execration continues to crash down the standings with a 1-4 slate tied with Vice Esports and 496 Gaming.
T1 will try to secure the third spot against Vice Esports on February 17, Wednesday. Execration looks to salvage its upper division slot for Season Two against Boom Esports on the same day.
