Jeremy Miado, Robin Catalan out of ONE: Heavy Hitters card due to COVID

Filipinos Jeremy Miado and Robin Catalan will no longer be part of ONE: Heavy Hitters which takes place on Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Miado and Catalan have turned in positive for COVID-19 forcing ONE Championship to remove them from the card.

The Hit List and International Business Times’ Nissi Icasiano first reported the development.

Miado (10-4) was supposed to face Senzo Ikeda (12-6-1) while Catalan (9-7) was scheduled to face Elipitua Siregar (4-1).

Marrok Force’s Miado is based in Thailand, a country that has had an average of 7,005 COVID-19 cases over the past week.

Catalan, on the other hand, has been training in the country. The last seven days saw a huge spike in positive cases in the country as well.

Catalan last fought in the ONE circle back in February of 2021, losing to Ryuto Sawada. Miado, on the other hand, was victorious against Li Tao Miao last October.

ONE is now searching for new opponents for Ikeda and Siregar.
