Jarvey Gayoso rejoins Azkals DT for 2021 PFL season

One of the Azkals Development Team’s main stars from its previous Philippines Football League campaign is coming back home.

Kaya-Iloilo has announced that Jarvey Gayoso is set to join the Scott Cooper-coached squad in the upcoming top-flight season.

“It was a short, but memorable time!

“Salamat Jarvey Gayoso, best of luck with your return to the Azkals Development Team,” disclosed Kaya through its Twitter account.

The former Ateneo Blue Eagle joined Kaya just in time for its 2021 AFC Champions League campaign straight from the Philippine Azkals’ final joint 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

He mainly played a bench role for both club and country and was brought on to add some pace and potency in their respective attacks.

Gayoso returns to an ADT side that hopes to improve on its third-place finish last season as it gained three wins and two losses.

The ADT will compete against the likes of United City, Maharlika Manila, Mendiola FC 1991, Stallion Laguna, Kaya, and, provisionally, Dynamic Herb Cebu.

Laos and Rapids are still awaiting the go signal from the Philippine Football Federation’s club licensing body.
