Jack Animam and Shih Hsin University overpowered the hapless Taipei Business University in the 2020-21 University Basketball Alliance season, taking a 123-43 romp, Friday at the Shixin University Gym.
The former UAAP Most Valuable Player scattered 12 points, 17 rebounds, four steals, and two blocks for the 5-0 defending champions.
It was another defensive masterpiece for the Tigers. They forced a whopping 47 turnovers from the winless TBU, while limiting them to just 40 shot attempts in the 40-minute contest.
A blowout was already underway to start the contest. SHU raced to an early 16-0 lead that led to a 35-8 opening frame.
Chen Yuti exploded for 27 points on seven triples in the contest, alongside four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Lin Die and Su Jianxian had 14 markers each.
Taipei Business, who dropped to 0-5, was led by Lin Youlun with 13 markers.
Up next for Animam and the Tigers is the 0-5 Taipei University on Saturday.
