The Inter-Agency Task Force against Emerging Infectious Diseases has allowed the practices for basketball and football teams, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Friday.
This means that PBA and Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 teams, as well as Philippines Football League ball clubs, can now resume training, although the leagues have yet to determine when they will get back into such.
The PFF and the PBA have both bid for their return at least to practices as they submitted to authorities their own set of guidelines on holding practices with strict health measures.
Sports leagues have been suspended ever since the government placed Metro Manila and eventually Luzon under enhanced community quarantine as a measure in fighting the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Metro Manila is under general community quarantine until July 15.
