H2WO relishes wins over ex-teammates Renejay, Yawi

RSG Slate Philippines jungler John Paul “H2wo” Salonga has now swept his matches against his former Nexplay Evos teammates Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcase and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera.

In Week 3, Renejay played the exp laner for Blacklist International in Game 1 of a two-game series where H2wo’s RSG emerged victorious with a 2-0 sweep.

H2wo also had the last laugh during his match-up against Yawi’s Echo in Week 4 via another 2-0 sweep.

Despite the wins though, H2wo still feels awkward facing his former teammates with whom he played with in the MPL Philippines from Season 6 to Season 8.

“Nakakapanibago kasi ang tagal ng seasons na magkasama kami ni Renejay eh. Tapos di ako sanay na magkaiba kami ng team,” shared the RSG jungler

Competitiveness is not lost for the former Nexplay Evos Big Three though as H2wo still savors his victories over the two, especially over Yawi to close out the first half of their Season 11 campaign.

“Ang sarap sa feeling kasi alam namin yung team ni Yawi sobrang lakas talaga. Lalo na nung nag-M4 world champion sila. Kaya ayun, nice game kay Yawi. Sarap sa feeling kasi nakatalo kami ng M4 world champion,” H2wo after their dominant performance against Echo.

With the crucial second half of the season coming their way, H2wo looks to build on these wins as they try to secure a slot in the playoffs and help RSG take their second franchise title in the MPL Philippines.

“Importante samin yung pagkapanalo sa Echo kasi ito na yung step ng momentum namin since papasok na yung second round ng regular season namin. Papasok kami nang may confidence. Ito na yung sinasabi ni Light na di naghehesitate,” he said.
