Parañaque finally snapped out of its four-game funk, venting all its frustrations on Stan District 4, 113-59, in the 2021 Chooks-to-Go NBL Chairman’s Cup at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga on Saturday.
Salvador Galit led the onslaught with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting, five rebounds, and four steals as the Aces improved to 2-4 at eighth place.
A 10-0 finishing kick in the first quarter started the romp for Parañaque, leading by 17, 31-14.
And it snowballed from there on, not letting its foot off the pedal until the margin reached 58, the biggest of the game at 111-53.
John Olegario came up big off the bench with 17 points, while Vincent Alves and Kervin Lucente added 13 and 12, respectively.
The big win then allowed Parañaque big guns Dwight Saguiguit, Jielo Razon, and Paolo Castro to rest, all playing below 14 minutes.
The Aces torched the net, going 47-of-91 from the field – a high 51 percent. Meanwhile, Quezon only managed 36 percent.
All 14 Parañaque players fielded in went on to score at least a basket.
Kenneth Espinas was the lone bright spot for the SparTANs, getting 12 points.
Khenth Guiab and Lordy Geronimo hit the showers early at the 7:21 mark of the third period, both accumulating two technical fouls.
The SparTANs will face Laguna tomorrow at 4:00 pm, hoping to put an end to their six-game skid.
