Foton keeps Generika winless, remains undefeated


The Foton Tornadoes won their sixth straight outing after whipping the Generika Lifesavers in straight sets, 25-16, 27-25, 25-20, in the 2016 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix last Saturday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.

Lindsay Stalzer led all scorers with 21 points while Ariel Usher followed up with 12 attacks, six service aces and 2 kill blocks. In addition, Maika Ortiz chipped in 7 markers.

On the other hand, Polina Liutikova paced Generika with 16 attacks and 2 service aces while Darlene Ramdin followed up with 6 attacks and 4 kill blocks.

With the win, Foton now leads the league with 6-0 card while Generika remained winless with a 0-7 record.

For their next game, Foton goes up against the third-seeded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers (4-3) this coming Tuesday, 5:00 pm, at the Imus Sports Complex while Generika goes up against the second-seeded Petron Tri-Activ Spikers (6-1) also this coming Tuesday, 7:00 pm, at the said venue.
