Fears eased as Isa Molde injury ruled an ankle sprain

The University of the Philippines Lady Maroons will have their ace Isa Molde back in the near future.

The 20-year old, former Rookie of the Year fell awkwardly early in the second set against Ateneo, Saturday evening, and needed to be carried off the court.

According to the Lady Maroons’ official website, the Cebuana open hitter was cleared of any serious injuries to her left knee and ankle, but she did suffer an ankle sprain.

Molde is unlikely to play on Wednesday against University of the East to rest the minor injury. UP will likely insert graduating veteran Marian Buitre in the starting rotation.

The Lady Maroons are currently locked in a tight race for a Final Four spot with a 5-4 record.
