Execration beefs up with Kielvj

Execration continued to beef up its roster after adding two-time MPL-Philippines champion Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez, Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso confirmed on his Facebook livestream last January 2.

“Oo guys kukunin na namin si Kielvj siya na yung mag mi-mid [lane] sa amin,” said Z4pnu, addresing his viewers.

Kielvj’s recent Facebook livestreams also confirmed that the 15-year-old is indeed at the Execration boot camp.

Another former Aura PH member in Renz “Renzio” Cadua was also spotted inside the Execration headquarters. Several livestream videos from Kielvj and Execration team captain Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic have confirmed that the veteran offlaner is already carrying the Execration banner as part of its in-game squad.

The former Aura PH members will definitely be a welcome addition for an Execration squad who just lost two of its brightest prospects in Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales and Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales two weeks after their third-place finish in Season Six.

Kielvj, who won the Finals Most Valuable Player award in Season Five, is one of the most experienced players in the league today, having played in the first-ever M1 World Championships last year along with Renzio.

The two also won a couple of MPL-Philippines championship together with Sunparks (now Aura PH) in Seasons Four and Five.

Kielvj will be replacing Mark “Mark” Delos Reyes — who was added right before the MPL Invitational — as the squad’s hyper carry.

Meanwhile, Jeff “S4gitnu” Subang is reportedly heading to Ezports, a team also handled by popular streamer Setsuna “AkosiDogie” Ignacio under Nexplay Esports.

Renzio will most likely assume the roster spot left by S4gitnu while rookie offlaner Duane “Kelraaa” Pillas round up the six-man squad.

Execration has yet to officially announce the signings as of posting time.

Z4pnu also revealed that there is a possibility that former Execration mage Jomie “Pakbet” Abalos will be inserted into the team to replace team captain Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic in the four position.

However, MPL-PH rules state that the top eight teams from the previous season can only change three players from their original roster to receive a direct invitation.

And with S4gitnu, Bennyqt, and Hate already out of the team, Execration cannot afford to lose E2MAX, Z4pnu, and Ch4knu.

MPL-Philippines Season 7 will open its doors in February.
