Eli Soyud out 6-8 weeks

PVL Collegiate Conference Best Opposite Hitter Eli Soyud will miss at least the entire Open Conference first round campaign of the Adamson-Akari Lady Falcons to recuperate from repair surgery on her damaged left meniscus.

The Lady Falcons’ leading scorer revealed that she had been experiencing pain in her left knee since the Collegiate Conference. She opted to finish out the tournament and looked for a second opinion.

It was only when the doctors advised Soyud to get immediate surgery so as to not miss the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Volleyball Tournament that she rushed to get an operation last Wednesday.

“Mahirap siyempre panoorin kasi nag-adjust pa ‘yung team saka ‘yung teammates ko sa mga gagawin,” admitted Soyud, as she looked on from the sidelines of Adamson’s match against Tacloban.

Soyud will be out for six to eight weeks.
