But it was Dimdim Pacres’ sudden dance outbreak at the end of the match that got fans off their seats.
After both squads shook each other’s hands at center court, the 5-foot-10 spikers met eyes with Dani Ravena, who stands at 5-foot-5. The pair suddenly went into a dance-off as “Switch It Up” played over the arena’s sound system.
Pacres performed her vivacious rendition of the viral dance. As Ravena tried to reply, Pacres capped her performance off with the viral Fortnite dance, “Hype”.
“Ganun talaga ‘pag may narinig akong music, ‘pag familiar sa akin, sumasayaw ako,” explained the UST Golden Tigress, who scored seven points in the match.
Pacres was simply happy she could contribute to charity and play with the rest of the PVL stars.
“Sobrang saya kasi first time ko lahat – like may meet and greet; tapos mag-autograph; tapos maglaro sa malalakas na tao. Isang malaking opportunity talaga ‘to, tsaka learnings din and guidance in the future,” the incoming super senior admitted.
“Ako talaga, kahit dati pa, gusto ko makatulong, magbigay sa street children ganun. So sobrang nakakatuwa kasi kami napasaya namin yung fans tapos nakatulong kami sa mga nangangailangan.”
