Dale named AURA PH’s strategic coach

In a bid to reclaim top dog status, Aura PH has signed former Omega Esports tactician Steven “DaleDalus” Vitug as its strategic coach, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

DaleDalus will be working side by side with Aura PH head coach Michael “Arcadia” Bocado in hopes to mold the new-look Aura PH squad as a legitimate contender in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven.

The former Sibol national team coach will be a welcome addition to an Aura PH side who dropped to a 5th-8th place finish after winning the past two MPL-Philippines seasons.

DaleDalus was one of the key figures that steered Omega Esports to the top of the local scene. He led the SMART-backed squad to a finals trip in the MPL-Philippines Season Six and The Nationals Season Two grand finals. In both, they both lost to powerhouse BREN Esports.

His last hurrah with the squad he called home for almost three seasons came in the M2 World Championship. There, Omega Esports swept the entire Group B, before eventually falling out of the tournament. They then ended up settling for a fifth-sixth place finish.

Aura PH will look to reclaim the crown once more with the return of Ashley “Marco” Cruz, Allen “Greed_” Baloy, Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura, Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz, and newcomers Mark “Lord Hadess” Lazaro and Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales.

The MPL-Philippines Season Seven will kick off on March 19.
