Ch4knu denies Blacklist transfer rumors, still unsure of Season 12 return

MPL Philippines Hall of Legends inductee Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog denied his rumored transfer to Blacklist International on Friday.

“Hindi po totoo yun,” he said.

The former Smart Omega roamer, though, confirmed receiving offers from MPL PH teams prior to the start of Season 11. He ultimately decided to skip Season 11.

Ch4knu also did not confirm if he will be returning right away in Season 12.

“Sabi niya rin kasi sakin nung nagpahinga ako, pahinga rin daw siya,” Smart Omega assistant coach Patrick “E2max” Caidic jokingly said.

“Parang inaaya niya ako balik daw ako next season. Ayaw niya ng ibang kapartner, gusto ako lang….Medyo clingy yung partner ko eh. Ayaw ng ibang kakampi,” he continued in jest.

E2max was Ch4knu’s long-time partner in the midlane since their days at Execration and then later with Smart Omega before the former decided to change role from player to coach in Season 11.

Turning serious, Ch4knu was asked if his return to the MPL PH scene in Season 12 is final and he only had one reply.

“Hindi.”

Rumors will continue as the MPL fans await the final decision of one of its most prominent stars.
