It was a double victory for Caloy Yulo in the night to end a fruitful Asian Championships.
Yulo bagged another major title in parallel bars after taking the gold in the parallel bars apparatus finals with a whopping 15.167 points at the 9th Senior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships, Saturday at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar.
This is the 22-year-old gymnastics star’s third gold of the continental meet after taking the floor exercise plum on Friday and the vault earlier in the evening.
With his earlier success in the individual all-around, where he finished in second place, Yulo also advanced into his third consecutive World Championships to be held later in the year in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Taking the parallel bars fourth in order, the 2021 World silver medalist in the said event took care of the bars with minimal errors and was solid throughout his routine to dominate the event.
The men’s national team earlier ended in ninth place in the team competitions with 227.533, where gymnasts Juancho Besana, Jan Gywnn Timbang, John Ivan Cruz, and Justine Ace De Leon joined Yulo.
