Reigning World Gymnastics champion Caloy Yulo snared his fifth medal of the 30th Southeast Asian Games after getting a silver in the men’s vault final, Wednesday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
The Filipino gymnast scored an average of 14.700 in his two attempts at the vault. He led the field before Indonesian Agus Prayoko took the apparatus and overtook him.
Prayoko snagged the gold with 14.734 after solid execution scores on his two tries despite the same difficulty scores with Yulo.
On the other hand, two-time defending champion Le Thanh Tung fumbled on his second attempt, scoring just 14.367 to end up with 14.617 and the bronze.
