The world champion qualified third, but raised his performance to end in second at 13.233 off an execution score of 8.333, which is higher than Malaysia’s Fu Jie Tan at 8.267.
Nonetheless, Tan’s higher difficulty score at 5.700 propelled him to a total of 13.967 and the gold.
Vietnam’s Dinh Phuong Thanh snagged bronze at 12.867.
